Venus of the Pickup

Description: This was done as one of my little Tongue-in-cheek paintings that take an old master look and modernize it with the model and setting. Here the background is made up of 2 paintings by Francois Boucher. Hence the licence plate of 1749, the year the paintings were done. The model and pickup are a sort of red-neck version of the nudes he did for his patrons in the French court. I'm always fasinated with the way some woman can not do a thing to keep themselves in shape as the typical suburban woman will and can still have a beautiful body just eating junk food, beer and riding in pick up trucks. I think it is a hoot.
