starting of a book

Hello, my name is John Earl. You can look over the profile to see the boring details but basically I’m a painter living in Columbus, Ohio. I am starting this blog mainly because I have been asked by galleries, patron and even one publisher to write my life story. Everyone thinks their story would make a good book but the truth is almost no ones would. I have a feeling I’m no exception but going to do it mostly to quiet everyone and also to just get it down and sort of put it behind me. I will also be putting up some images of both my life and of my work both past and present. I have a website at www.artbyearl.com and use various on line art sales sites to sell my work. I guess I’ll use this as a stage to ramble on about my thoughts on art and the art world when I feel the need. I’ll try to keep it to a minimum since almost everyone who has anything to do with any form of art thinks they know the answer to some grand question. A quote I always use to keep me in my place is; ”Whoever thinks a faultless thing to see; Thinks what ne’er was, nor is, no e’er shall be”. I do hope anyone with a thought or comment will take the time to let me know how she or he feels. Listening to myself is going to become boring. So, let us begin.
